With Sonic's Dreamcast makeover, Sega was trying to make the little blue critter cool again. Of course, after nearly a decade of crappy Archie comics, several horrible cartoon series, furries, Gonterman, and Sonic/Tails slash fiction, nothing could save our beloved blue rat.
