A tomato shooter may be pretty wacky, but it's nothing compared to Parodius. Parodius has penguins with machineguns, I don't see any of those in Captain Tomaday! Parodius also has giant showgirls and cat submarines, which Captain Tomaday seems to be sorely lacking in.
